John Gregory has over 35 years of professional photography experience. His interest in photography began when his father, J.E. Through the decades that followed John has photographed Presidents, Governors, Senators, and even NASCAR legends like Dale Earnhardt Sr. He has been the official photographer for the Miss Garner (NC) Pageant for the past ten years.
Locally, Mr. Gregory made the 1970 portrait of Big Daddy, which Big Daddy’s restaurant used as the basis for their large store front sign at Kure Beach. John’s limited edition NC lighthouse prints grace the walls of homes and businesses throughout the Southeast. His photographs appear regularly in the Island Gazette, the weekly newspaper of Pleasure Island.
His Carolina Beach studio supports the local television and film industry with modeling portfolios, headshots, behind-the-scenes documention, and premier event photography.
